Hemispherectomy Foundation Australia operates a closed group on Facebook. It is a supportive and safe space for Australian and New Zealand families impacted by hemispherectomy. As a private group, families can feel comfortable knowing they can share stories, successes or struggles in a group where everyone “gets it”.
The Facebook group is empathetic, respectful and validating and significantly contributes to our families feeling less alone as they can connect with others at any time. As a Facebook group we celebrate victories, exchange practical advice and lots of tips and hacks for children and young people with hemiplegia.
