Hemispherectomy Foundation Australia Strategic Plan
HFA is dedicated to supporting the Australian and New Zealand hemispherectomy community. Our strategic plan sets out our direction for the coming years, ensuring our activities are purposeful, evidence-informed and responsive.
We will focus on continuing our support to families, providing education, exploring research opportunities, raising awareness, and enhancing partnerships across the health, research and disability sectors. Our priorities are designed to increase the reach and impact of our work.
Key strategic priorities:
- Provide compassionate, practical support and resources for families.
- Support and promote research that improves outcomes for our children, young people and their families.
- Increase public and professional awareness of hemispherectomy and the ongoing needs of our children and young people.
- Build partnerships with healthcare providers, researchers and disability organisations.
- Ensure robust governance, volunteer engagement and sustainable funding.
